Art Central is dedicated to the arts and the community of Eurobodalla

We provide people of all ages and abilities an opportunity to explore and extend their creative self.

Opening in 2004, Art Central is Eurobodalla’s longest running community arts centre.  Run by a dedicated group of volunteers, Art Central provides engaging programs in a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. 

Art Central’s program is open to all ages and skill levels and includes: classes, workshops, courses, exhibitions and school holiday programs.  We also host special events, and collaborate with local festivals and organisations.

Our facilities include:

  • Indoor/outdoor creative spaces

  • Full wheelchair and disabled access

  • Pottery kiln

  • Pottery wheels

  • Print-making equipment

  • Wash-up areas

  • Kitchenette and bathroom

Art Central overlooks the picturesque Riverside Park and the Moruya River, and is located a stone’s throw away from the Moruya CBD 

History

The Arts Council of Eurobodalla Inc was established as an advocacy group for the arts and artists living in the Eurobodalla. Some of the aims and objectives of ACE include to: 

  • Be a support network for the arts in Eurobodalla Shire.

  • Encourage Reconciliation in the community through the arts.

  • Facilitate art projects in partnership with other community groups and organisations 

  • Disseminate arts information in the Eurobodalla Shire 

  • Skill-share among artists and the community

In 2004, led by a group of passionate art volunteers including Lisette Wentholt and Nick Summers, the Arts Council of Eurobodalla Inc. opened the doors to Art Central, its official headquarters.  We provide:

  • regular and affordable art classes and workshops

  • employment opportunity to artists

  • hireable and equipped spaces to artists, groups and organisations

The Arts Council of Eurobodalla Inc. is an incorporated organisation and a registered charity, and relies on its committee, team of volunteers, tutors, its generous members and donors, and opportunities provided by grants to remain operational.
