Clay in Motion: Wheel throwing essentials
When: Tuesdays 15 and 22 October then 5 and 12 November 2024.
Time: 1.00pm – 3.00pm

About: Discover the art of wheel throwing in this four-week hands-on pottery course. Have a go at throwing on the pottery wheel with experienced instructor Nick Summers. Learn about wedging, throwing, centreing and turning. Learn foundational techniques for shaping and forming clay on the wheel, from centering to finishing. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills. Create beautiful and functional ceramics.

From Clay Play: The Hand-building sessions

About: Escape from life for a while, dig, mould, slap, smooch and patpatpat into your creativity!
This series of 4 ceramics hand building classes will give you the space to get your hands dirty and your imagination fired. Through the process of pinching, coiling and slabbing the clay, who knows what you'll create. Includes clay, tuition, glazing and firing, and a few laughs. Come with an idea in mind.
